The Slough Islamic School Project (SISP) started in 2000 to improve education for the children of Slough mainly of British Pakistani Muslim backgrounds. This gave birth to Iqra School, which opened in 2008 after securing funding from the government. Despite challenges, it became one of the UK’s most improved schools. Now, the aging trustees, who have dedicated themselves to this cause, face a £250,000 debt burden. SISP, acting as the school’s landlord, generates revenue to support the school. The main objective is to repay the debt to continue supporting educational initiatives for children in need.
